Celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, Easter Seals House in Vancouver has been a home away from home for more than one million adults and families who needed a place to stay during their medical treatment.
Located just minutes from hospitals, it is a lifeline for guests who arrive from all over BC and Yukon seeking cancer treatment, transplants, surgeries and other medical treatments. Easter Seals House offers the private space families are looking for in between their appointments, and helps relieve them of the stress and financial burden of finding somewhere to stay in an expensive, and unfamiliar city.
There are 49 individual suites each with their own kitchenette, two twin beds that combine to a King, a full 3-piece bathroom and WIFI. There is also laundry onsite, secured underground parking, and lounges on each floor, making it a complete home away from home for guests who come once or twice a year and may stay for one night or months at a time.
“Easter Seals House is so valuable to so many people across the province. I become emotional when I think about it. Easter Seals House takes away one worry when there’s so many other worries.” ~ Randy and Kimberley, Easter Seals House guests of 10 years.
“Thank you for helping our family out five years ago when our daughter had brain surgery. We will never forget your help.” ~ Doris
