Revelstoke Snowmobile Club Thanks Attendees and Corporate Sponsors following Successful Event Season

With the Annual Family Day and Vintage Ride events officially done for 2022, the Club would like to show it’s appreciation to those in the community who supported the Club in a participant or sponsorship capacity.

Our final event of the year, The Vintage Ride, had a great turnout with an estimated 500 people, 40 vintage sleds, and 20 snow bike riders in attendance, which made for a very special event for the Club, bringing together families and riders of all ages for something never seen before at the iconic Boulder Mountain Cabin.

The day started with a poker run to the cabin where participants enjoyed live music and a BBQ lunch while they waited for the vintage sleds to make their way up the mountain. Prizes were awarded for the poker run winners, oldest snowmobile, oldest rider, and favorite vintage snowmobile. During the afternoon, Brock Hoyer, X-games gold medalist, coordinated a snow bike exhibition to showcase what his sport has to offer, as the vintage enthusiasts got their sleds going to battle for bragging rights at the drag strip and oval track.

“Events have a long history at the Club, dating back to when we first established in 1968, they allow the social and inclusive aspect of snowmobiling to stay alive within all members of the riding community.”

“With all events last year having been canceled due to Covid 19, it was nice to put that behind us, and come together with our riding community to celebrate the history of our sport and the friendship and happiness that it brings to so many,” said Teena Rumak, General Manager of Revelstoke Snowmobile Club.

The support the Club received from local community groups, volunteers, and snowmobile riders is what made this achievement possible, which included over $4,000 in prizes and giveaways that were donated to the Club by some great local businesses.

The Club would like to thank sponsors Glacier House Resort, Zalas Restaurant, Stoked Mountain Adventures, Full Speed Rentals, Stoke Hotel, Peaks Lodge, Mt Begbie Brewing, Mountain Sports Distribution, Prinoth, Rough Country Marine, Cheetah Factory Racing, Sled Shed, Revelstoke Credit Union Insurance, and Roy Jones Contracting.

A special mention also goes to local musician Fede Vilchez and band for carting all their equipment to the top of the mountain, as well as Revelstoke Search and Rescue and BC Adventure Smart for taking part in the Poker Run and mountain safety portion of the event.

This event was also only possible thanks to the dedication of Revelstoke Snowmobile Club staff and volunteers.

Thank you also to Skidoo and the dealer network for supporting the events through the Skidoo Snow P.A.S.S grant program, a grant designed to support the grassroots organizations that make the sport of snowmobiling possible.
