BC Snowmobile Clubs Give Back: Recap of 2023-2024 BCSF Snowarama Events

In the spirit of giving and adventure, the 2023-2024 season of BCSF Snowarama events has once again left its mark across communities in British Columbia. For over four decades, the BC Snowmobile Federation and its member clubs have stood unwavering in their commitment to celebrating Easter Seals BC Yukon as their chosen charity of choice, collectively raising nearly $4 million dollars over the years.

From exhilarating poker rides to engaging BINGO events, each Snowarama gathering hosted by clubs provides critical funding towards two vital Easter Seals services:

  • The affordable and compassionate Easter Seals House in Vancouver, accommodating over 100 parents and children nightly who need medical travel and respite accommodation.

  • Unforgettable nature-based, fully accessible, overnight camping experiences provided for approximately 800 youth and adults from ages 6-49 with disabilities.

2023-2025 Snowarama Events

Among the highlights of this season's Snowarama events were the remarkable efforts of three clubs:

  • NISA - North Island Snowmobile Association: The NISA Snowarama event on March 10, 2024, was a resounding success, drawing a full house of over 140 enthusiasts from Vancouver Island's vibrant snowmobile community. Through their passion and generosity, NISA raised an impressive $6,735 for Easter Seals BC/Yukon.

  • Kamloops Snowmobile Association: On February 25th, the Kamloops Snowmobile Association gathered approximately 100 snowmobilers for a memorable event. Thanks to the outstanding efforts by volunteers and local riders, the club raised $4,990 for Easter Seals, contributing significantly to the cause.

  • Hunters Range Snowmobile Association: Hosting their 12th annual Snowarama BINGO ride on March 3rd, 2024, the Hunters Range Snowmobile Association once again proved their commitment to making a difference. With their event raising $1,342, they added another chapter to their legacy of supporting Easter Seals and enriching their community.

As the snow melts and the season's memories begin to fade, the lasting impact of Snowarama events becomes clear. Beyond simply raising funds, these gatherings embody the core values that our clubs were founded upon. What began as social gatherings for sledders has transformed into a vital force for community support.

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible volunteers, businesses, and riders for joining us in our mission. Your dedication behind the scenes continues to make a tangible difference in the lives of BC residents. Together, we strengthen our commitment to supporting Easter Seals and providing essential services to those who depend on them.
